ABOUT
OUR STORY
In 1978 Roxanne Erdahl owned a business in downtown Iowa City. Kay Duncan was the Director of the Iowa City Crisis Center. What brought these two women together was their passion and commitment to helping women. From 1978-1981 Roxanne and Kay served on the original Board of Directors of the Domestic Violence Project. They, along with other board members worked to bring the first Shelter for battered women and children to Johnson County. Roxanne and Kay separately continued along their own journey of learning, exploring and educating themselves as to how to show up as their best selves. Some 35 years later their commitment to helping women is as strong as when they first met. They are excited to be working together once again as facilitators of The Daring Way™ in Eastern Iowa .
